Meet Carol Tetreault! At 62 she lost 21lbs and 10% body fat so far and she’s on her way to losing 60lbs more. At Plyomax we promise she will. This is why! Here is her story. Carol was looking for a gym that had all she wanted to get results. Not a gym she would pay lots for especially for things she would never use. She saw the Testimonial of Leslie Milligan on our Plyomax website, and signed up at Plyomax on November 8th 2015.
She got to meet her inspiration Leslie who lost over 100lbs and now at 63years and 7 years later still looks good! Leslie told Carol of many people who have joined Plyomax because of her story and seen them get to their results one after another. Now Carol is on her way to lose 60lbs and be someone else’ inspiration.

Francine Lost 35 Pounds and Battled Hormonal Weight Gain

“I’ve always struggled with my weight. Call it family genetics or my love of red wine and pizza...My weight has always yo-yo’ed. Being 5’4, an extra five or 10 pounds can really make a difference in the way I look and the way I feel in my clothes. In my late 20s, my metabolism literally took a nose dive. Every pound took extra work to burn off. Then a few years ago, I was diagnosed with PCOS, a hormonal disorder that affects between 6 to 10% of women. A common side effect of PCOS is weight gain - usually with extra weight around the waist. PCOS makes it more difficult for my body to use insulin, which normally helps convert sugars and starches from foods into energy. This condition can cause insulin and sugar to build up in my bloodstream and losing weight can become a ridiculous struggle. I was devastated and I felt like every effort I was doing to lose weight and be healthy was pointless.

“My doctor and I came up with a plan and I read up on my condition to educate myself on the parts I could control. Plyomax was a big part of my journey. I accepted that I would just have to work harder if I wanted it bad enough. I’m a stubborn gal and I don’t take no for an answer. So I started coming to Plyomax 5-6 days a week, making it part of my daily schedule. No excuses. It was hard at first, but I soon made friends here that encouraged me and pushed me to keep up the hard work. You know who you are! I have fallen in love with lifting weights, getting stronger and pushing my limits. I’ve learned that cardio is not the only way to shed the pounds. Thank goodness cause I hate it! In the kitchen, my new motto is 80/20: 80% clean eating and 20% whatever I want! Obsessing didn’t work for me...Counting calories and measuring food just stressed me out. It works for some, but didn’t for me. I needed a realistic balance of healthy and indulgence. Rewards are important in life.

Duncan Threw Away His Cane After 7 Weeks

85 year old Duncan came into Plyomax Fitness with a cane and lots of pain in his hips knees and legs. After assessments we promised he would be cane free in two months! Duncan worked hard with our Plyomax Trainer Jean and 7 weeks later he is cane free and walking/driving without any aid. Way to Go Duncan!

Leslie Lost 95 Pounds At Age 60

“About 3 years ago I weighed over 240 lbs. I had health issues and my Doctor instructed that weight loss would help me. A few months later I saw Simon teaching his Plyomax Bootcamp to his clients in the studio of the gym I was a member of.

Soon enough I approached a lady from the Plyomax bootcamp and she told me that prior to starting Plyomax Bootcamp she had knee and back pains. But after attending the training for several weeks she had no pain whatsoever! She felt strong and can do things she could never do before. I had the option to keep talking of losing weight, or doing something about it. So I spoke to Simon about training. From the first Plyomax Bootcamp training I was hooked. The training was hard but enjoyable; the education about fat burn, training right, eating lean and staying lean, etc. was priceless.

I have seen my entire body change, dropping from a size 18 to a size 6. I turn 60 this year and I feel great. No more pills for high blood pressure and high cholesterol levels. My Doctor is impressed and she says, “...Don’t stop what you are doing...” Now I weigh 145lbs! I don’t diet; I don’t take supplements, or deprive myself. I eat everything in moderation, yes even CHEESE! It’s been over two years, 4 boat cruises, and lots of cheating and I have never weighed more than 160lbs.

When I started my journey to fitness, I weighed over 250 lbs and was wearing size 40 pants. Today I have size 34 pants and weigh 195 lbs; I’m as close to my healthy BMI as and feel great.
